Operation Pitch Invasion uses donated funds to construct, improve and maintain soccer fields throughout the Portland metro area. We maximize the effect of your contribution by tapping the volunteer power of the mighty Timbers Army in cooperation with partners like the 107 Independent Supporters Trust, the City of Portland Parks and Recreation Department and AC Portland.
At present, we are seeking donations to support a number of “minor” capital works projects. Many field restoration projects require a budget of between $5,000 and $25,000 in conjunction with heavy volunteer labor to have maximum effect. Our long term plans include fundraising over multiple years for a major capital works project – like installation of an artificial turf field or bringing new but unused park land into service as a soccer field. At present, Operation Pitch Invasion is run entirely by volunteers with extremely low overhead. Our efficiencies helps ensure that as much as possible of your donation goes into local fields and not administration.
